Grammy Award-winning country sensation Keith Urban blazes a 50 city trail across North America this year on his Ripcord Tour! The tour, which is in support of his upcoming album of the same name and features production design from Roy Bennett (Lady Gaga, Beyoncé), sees Urban joined by Brett Eldredge & Maren Morris! Catch them at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Thursday 23rd June!

"I thought, 'Holy shit, who is this?'" remembers Urban, who received a sneak preview of the song [Maren Morris' "80s Mercedes"] while Morris was still recording her recently-released EP for Columbia Nashville. "I couldn't believe how much I loved it. I asked, 'Who's this girl? Where's she from? Who wrote the songs?' And they said, 'She did.' And I said, 'Jesus!' Her full record might not be out by [the tour's opening night], but I don't care. I just want my audience to hear her. I just want to give a stage to someone who's the real deal. Not just someone who's popular — someone who can really sing and really write."

Keith Urban is a New Zealand-born Australian country music singer, songwriter, guitarist, entrepreneur, and music competition judge. He released his eponymous debut album in 1991, a year after signing to EMI Australia, charting four singles before moving to Nashville, Tenessee in 1992. Urban went on to form country band The Ranch in 1997, having found work as a session musician in the interim. The band charted two singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, having released an album with Capitol Nashville, before splitting in 1998. Urban's self-titled American debut album was released in 1999, and went on to receive platinum certification, producing his first number one single. Urban has released a total of nine solo studio albums, charting 37 singles on the US Hot Country Songs, 18 of which went to number one. His single “Somebody Like You” was named by Billboard as the biggest country hit of the 2000s decade, and Urban has won four Grammy Awards for Best Male Country Vocal Performance. He is also known for his roles as a coach on the Australian version of the singing competition The Voice and as a judge on American Idol.
