Pine Knob Music Theatre
Unleash your inner alt-rock animal in Cage the Elephant’s Tuesday night concert LIVE at the Pine Knob Music Theatre on September 10, featuring opening acts from Young the Giant and Bakar! In partnership with Live Nation, the multi-awarded indie rock group makes their roadshow return this year to promote their upcoming sixth studio album with over forty summer-fall shows mapped. Half a decade has passed since Cage the Elephant shook the world with their last album. Soon, they’ll be doing it again on stage with the unhindered emotion of twelve brand new tracks, fronted by the Triple A chart-topping “Neon Pill” and “Out Loud” lead singles. Our headlining group has remained dominant within the ever-shifting zeitgeist of indie rock, owed to a legendary discography that gave us GRAMMY Award-winning albums Tell Me I’m Pretty and Social Cues and the 6x Platinum “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” smash hit. Book your tickets now and celebrate their greatness LIVE!
Five years after the GRAMMY Award-winning run of their fifth album, Social Cues, Cage the Elephant announces a long-awaited comeback to the road and the recording studio. Watch out, North America, because our headlining alt-rock icons have set the course for their Live Nation-produced “Neon Pill” Tour, covering 45 dates from summer to fall. These include a September 10th concert at the Pine Knob Music Theatre featuring special guests Young the Giant and Bakar.
Cage the Elephant’s Neon Pill (2024) LP will chronicle a season of turbulence and tragedies drawn from the band members’ personal lives, so fans can expect another powerful alt-rock showcase of raw emotions dipped in unrelenting riffs. The album features a Billboard AAA chart-topping title track and the centerpiece single, “Out Loud,” with ten more songs primed to worm their way through your ears and deep into your heart.
“With this album, having gone through so much, life had almost forced us into becoming more and more comfortable with ourselves. We weren’t reaching for much outside of the pure experience of self expression, and simultaneously not necessarily settling either. We just found a uniqueness in simply existing,” said lead vocalist Matt Shultz in a statement.
Winner of two back-to-back GRAMMY Awards, Cage the Elephant thrived in a fiercely competitive alternative rock scene and now stands before you as the holder of dozens of gold and platinum records. Witness where it all began — their legendary self-titled debut album and its 6x Platinum hit single “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” which paved the way for a critically acclaimed discography that featured the fan-favorite Melophobia LP, as well as Billboard Alternative breakthroughs “Shake Me Down,” “Cigarette Daydreams,” and “Black Madonna.”
Californian indie rock quintet Young the Giant will be your night’s first opening performance, so give them a round of applause as they unleash the anthemic, Platinum-selling sound of their Billboard Alternative Airplay hits, such as “My Body” and “Cough Syrup.” The band will then be followed by singer-producer Bakar of “Hell n Back” fame, still smoking from the successful launch of his second album, Halo. Tune in to his latest singles, including “Alive!” and “I’m Done,” in a chameleonic act blending spiky punk and easy-going R&B.
