Tedeschi Trucks Band is a powerhouse American blues and blues rock group from Florida that took the music world by storm when they formed in 2010. After touring separately, they merged into one phenomenal band with chemistry so tight you would swear they have been playing together for decades on decades.
No surprise there – the band is led by the dynamic married couple Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks. Before uniting their groups they toured together back in 2007 as the Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi Soul Stew Revival. Their very first show as Tedeschi Trucks Band kicked off on April 1st at the savannah Music Festival, the rest is now history!
Their Debut album “Revelator” hit in 2011 and it was such a massive success that by the 2012 Grammy Awards they managed to snag the award for best blues album! Since then they have dropped 5 studio albums and three live albums. “Everybody’s Talkin”, their second album, released in 2012 peaked in the number three position on the UK Jazz and Blues charts, and then the accolades kept rolling in.
In 2013 they were nominated for the blues music awards, and their third album “Made up My Mind” followed shortly after this. 2015 brought a tribute to Jo Cockers ‘Mad Dogs and Englishmen’ at the Lockn’ Festival featuring some legendary alumni. Then came their 2016 album “Let Me Get By” which managed to crawl its way into the 15th position on the billboard top 200 albums sale chart!
Fast forward to 2022 and the Tedeschi Trucks Band blew everyone away with the release of “I Am the Moon” which is a monumental quadruple album with 24 all new original tracks that were released throughout the year. These legends are back and you won’t want to miss out on a single moment of their electrifying performance.
